The Scripps Research Institute relocated the Neuropharmacology and Vascular Biology departments from 71,000 existing SF to 122,000 SF of renovated space in La Jolla. The renovations entailed complete interior demolition and build-out of 3030 and 3040 Science Park Drive including a 9,400 SF rodent vivarium and ABSL-2+ suite, neurological and electrophysiological test facility, BSL-3 suite and bio-imaging facilities. Laboratories include molecular biology, bio-chemistry, chemistry, tissue culture and robotics. The facilities include an institute shared seminar facility, data center and cafeteria. Laboratory and office flexibility is achieved by utilizing the same 10′-8′ planning module.
