The Physical Sciences Laboratory is an applied research facility designed to consolidate five facilities within the Army’s laboratory Command, including laboratories from Fort Monmouth NJ, Fort Belvoir VA and White Sands Missile Range NM. Its mission is to support the army’s research into the “soldier of the future” and associated applied technologies such as sensors, battle field environments and bio-chemical research. This 560,000sf project is composed primarily of 400,000 SF of laboratories with an additional 10,000 SF of class 1000 cleanroom. Center for Integrated Nanotechnologies Core Facility

CINT is one of five DOE Nanoscale Research centers forming an integral part of the National Nanotechnology Initiative by the Office of Science, US Department of Energy. This advanced Nanoscale Research Laboratory is a 98,000 SF single story radial concept situated just outside Kirtland AFB in Albuquerque. Designed to house 148 scientists, it will be jointly operated by Sandia National Laboratories (SNL) and Los Alamos National laboratory (LANL).Three distinct laboratory wings (Class 1000 cleanroom, Chemistry/Molecular Biology Labs, Optical/Surface Analysis labs) are linked by a radial “Nano Loop” corridor and separated by two “oases”.
